Previous versions of TEC, and the latest incarnation.

1st Version, 1997.

Three years after the fateful personal revelation of the synchronicity of The Beatles and U2’s careers, back in the early days of the Internet, I launched “The Ethereal Connection: a Synthesis of U2 and The Beatles” (TEC). I still remember the moment when the idea of doing pair cover comparisons in subsequent pages with a “click next button" came to me, and I marveled at the possibility of conveying my experience to U2 and Beatles fans all over the world. Once launched, thanks to the help of my brother who built the website, I saw that wish come true, as it turned out, many people from all over the world visited the website while I eagerly awaited new daily comments from visitors that completed the journey in the “feed me” section. Half of those comments were visitors mocking the effort, thankfully the other half were really encouraging...after 2 years and a few months, it was time to take a rest from the project and I took it down in 1999.

2nd Version, 2006.

Nine years after the first version was published, owing to circumstances that forced me to reevaluate what was important in my life, I launched the second version of “The Ethereal Connection: a Synthesis of U2 and The Beatles” presenting a newly discovered part of the revelation: The idea of a ‘New form of Art’ that would be the result of the completion of a three part grand rock and roll life cycle driven by a Third Band that would come after U2, this Third Band concept I discovered, was flawed, and it was flawed because the third part of the cycle is U2's career, the first being the foundational period of Rock and Roll prior to The Beatles. Similarly than the first time around, after three years the effort became redundant, and I removed TEC from the public eye without knowing when would be the next time or if it was going to be a next time at all. As it turned out ,14 years of intermittent progress had to pass before the urge and necessity to express it publicly would become a reality again.

3rd Version, 2020.

Today, this third time around, I am glad to see the project back on its feet. If I have to answer the following question, what is The Ethereal Connection? this is how I would respond:

The Ethereal Connection is a multi dimensional album cover journey extravaganza about recurrence and evolution in Rock and Roll music. About the bravery of a few to push boundaries and break new ground by remaining stronger than the outside pressures, even using the force of those pressures to imprint the mold of their own art. It's the premonition of a new art that can help humanity reach a higher level of vibration as the Rock and Roll that we know certainly did. Like the next DO in an ascending musical octave. A new Rock and Roll, a new Hero that will be the perfect fit for a concscius humanity. From the DNA of the old stems a new art form more focused on the inner dimension, patience, and practice. A new form of art for the New Age.
